Been a crazy summer- trips to DC, the Jersey Shore and Walloon Lake, MI but all along I have been watching what's going on with the styles- many strands of chains, charms, crazy colors, fun pearl combinations- basically a "more is better" kind of thing going on- but I think that anything goes! My favorite stuff was at a cool little walking mall in Cape May called the Whale's Tale (www.whalestalecapemay.com) what cool jewelry and gifts lots handmade! It was inspiring to just gaze in their window!
Back to school means back to work- shows are coming up in the next few months- Christmas shopping will start soon and I am making lots of wine charms- everyone's favorite hostess gifts- in Christmas, football team and travel themes- I have the cutest charms. Also just plain wine themes and martini glass charms too (and a deal at $12.50-15/set).
Getting back to trying to put together wedding jewelry has been hard- many suppliers are going out of business- or not buying the good stuff because of the investment- the Gem and Lapidary Show shrunk from hundreds to dozens of vendors! It is a sad time to be buying supplies- but luckily I have so much stashed away from the days of wine and roses (the good times) and because I bought them at a lower price for silver and gold I have an easier time with my piece pricing! I have many cool vintage style necklaces for weddings in the works- take your breath away gorgeous- but pricey- but who skimps on a wedding? Need to get those finished and pictures done to get them out there!
