Hello- I am new to this but I am trying to expand my horizons in the art of selling handmade jewelry and gift items on the web! It is easy to fumble into, but hard to do it right. I am trying to work on the things that will allow me to show my talents and hopefully gain traffic to my website.

After years of paying for a domain name, I have been frustrated by the high costs of actually starting and maintaining a working, shopping cart enabled website to sell my jewelry. It's astronomical to do without huge markups in price and large amounts of sales! I am sure anyone who has tried this realizes how hard it is to do.

Recently I noticed ETSY- a web service for anyone who has handmade or vintage stuff to sell or supplies for that market! It's inexpensive, and really full functioned. A virtual 24/7 craft show of astronomical proportions! If you haven't already- go to www.etsy.com and check it out for yourself! It's awesome, you can subscribe to feeds from your favorite sellers- which will directly fill your in box with items listed, or what I do, subscribe to a feed for requests for custom made items and I can browse through them when I get emails. It is so easy and inexpensive. Anyone who has stuff to sell or wants to buy needs to check it out!
